Scope
In the past few decades, there has been a growing interest in fundamental and applications research on transparent materials, including transparent conductive oxides. The attractive varieties of front-line applications are high-performance thin film transistors, storage devices, photovoltaic devices, photocatalysts, flat panel displays, light emitting devices, smart windows, and other optoelectronic applications. TOEO symposium, formerly ‘International Symposium on Transparent Oxide in Films for Electronics and Optics,’ was initiated in 1999 in Tokyo, Japan, by the 166th Committee of JSPS. A primary objective was to provide a forum for discussion of fundamentals and applications of thin films of wide bandgap oxide materials with active electronic and optical properties. The TOEO organizing committee, in collaboration with the TCM organizing committee that has been organizing the TCM in Europe since 2006, has launched TCM-TOEO in 2022, integrating both international symposiums. The symposium will cover all areas of transparent oxides and related novel materials for electronics and optics in theories and experiments, ranging from fundamentals to applications. Students and young researchers are particularly encouraged to participate and share the spirit of the symposium.
